Business Opportunity That Can Fit Around Your Family Lifestyle @MusicalBumps

Musical Bumps was created as a franchise business in 2003 following successful classes being held in London and Kent.  There are now Musical Bumps classes being held around the UK and being enjoyed by thousands of children and their carers.  Musical Bumps has recently appointed their latest franchisee in the Brighton and Hove area, Belinda McBride, who states “I would say if you’re really interested in delivering this sort of music class, I would go for it because certainly there’s a need out there for what we’re delivering and I think the company is excellent – very high quality.”

The business has been popular with people wishing to run their own business but with the support and advice of a team of people behind them.  Many of the franchisees are females who have found that the business fits nicely around their own family life as the classes can be quite flexible and can be run during term time and within school hours.  However, there are also franchisees with no family commitments who are running the business very successfully as a full time job.

The business has been described as fun, fulfilling, flexible and rewarding where each day is different.  It would suit someone who has a musical background (they must at least be able to sing!) and who would enjoy working with young children.  Anyone nervous of running their own business receives a lot of support from the friendly head office team who are there to help them set up their business, undertake the marketing and help with accounts.  All franchisees undertake an intensive initial training course and this is followed up by further training and networking with other franchisees throughout the year so franchisees never feel as though they are on their own and love feeling part of a team.

Angela who has been running a Musical Bumps franchise in Leicestershire for seven years comments “there is no better franchise business if you love music and working with children because the ethos of what Musical Bumps does is so important.”

Equally Maree Waller, franchisee for Croydon and Forest Hill states: “I just think if it’s something that you love doing, if you commit to it and you put your heart into it, you know you are delivering something good.”

There is no typical Musical Bumps teacher!  Applications are considered from men or women of any age or background who has an interest or background in music or education.

All teachers love working with babies, young children and families and are energetic, confident and self-motivated.  Many of our existing teachers are keen amateur or freelance musicians who are interested in developing their own musical skills and applying them to working with the very young.
