Small business award from Theo Paphitis – Enter our #Giveaway @RainShineWear

I’m delighted to say that my mother and myself went down to the SBS Winners’ Event in Birmingham and had our Award Certificate from Theo Paphitis.  We had a truly inspirational day, with presentations and good advice from Theo and a panel of successful business people such as Judy Naake of St Tropez, Rob Forken of Gandys, and Julien Callede from made.com.

Theo invites all winners from across the years to reconnect each year, so we met with lots of interesting businesses.  We know that there are very few Scottish winners and we were only aware of one other company from Edinburgh who attended the event.  We came back from this very supportive event with lots of good connections and ideas to grow our business.  We also met with a new supplier and hope to have a new product range available for the start of the new financial year.

We are passionate aboRain Shineut the benefits of getting children active out of doors, whatever the weather.   We are delighted to announce this week the winner of our recent photo competition, which was very kindly judged by Marguerite Hunter Blair, CEO of Play Scotland, who took time out of her schedule to consider the photos.  The image chosen (photo5) shows the simple pleasure of a child discovering a puddle on a rainy day – no need for any toys or devices or indeed pennies in the pocket.

Rain-shine continues to sell to nurseries, schools and forest school groups and our order size has grown significantly.  As before, the majority of our customers are in England, with some in Wales and we have now our first big school order from Northern Ireland too.
