Kay Stewart Photography

I am a Kent based Photographer, living in West Kingsdown, who always seizes the opportunity for taking a photo. I cover all areas of Kent, but also branching out to Surrey, Sussex and Essex.
I’ve always had an interest for photography from a very young age, starting out using old film cameras with my father, and then moving into the digital world. In 2009 I took this to a new level, and opened up my business
I have a background in studying Art and Textiles when I was at school, and then studied for a Diploma in 3D Design at College, and then moved onto study Childcare, which is where I work part time, so have a good understanding of children and how to get the best out of them in photographic memories. I am also a mum so understand the need for capturing timeless moments.
My first passion for photographic subjects is people & children, and I also love to shoot photos of animals and the natural world, and I am a motorsport and car enthusiast, but I also have a passion for taking pictures of small scale models which I have built. I am always interested in trying new subjects and locations, and working with new people.
Over the years, I have had my work featured in various publications and on websites, including a 2 1/2 page spread in a dolls magazine and one of my photos used as an advert for a vintage clothing company. Most recently I had some of my photos featured on the website of mrsandmrsunique, of cakes that i photographed for a local cake company North Star Cakes. I also had a photo used in article in the Eurostar magazine and a photo of the HS1 train for a company calendar.
