Shine Cancer Support

Supporting people living with cancer in their 20s, 30s & 40s

Shine Cancer Support

Full Description

Being told you have cancer is a life-changing event.  Being told you have cancer in your 20s, 30s or 40s brings its own set of challenges.  Alongside dealing with cancer you now also have to deal with issues including isolation, fertility, returning to work, dating, looking after parents and children, finishing your education or building your career.  Too old for specialist help aimed at teenagers but feeling too young for standard cancer support initiatives, you might easily feel that you are alone.

Our vision is that every adult in the UK diagnosed with cancer in their 20s, 30s or 40s can access the help and support that they need in a way that suits their lifestyle, and are a part of a confident, supportive and empowered community of young adults with cancer.

Our mission is to provide tailored information and peer support for anyone diagnosed with any cancer in their 20s, 30s or 40s through a range of activities including lunches and drinks evenings, beach walks, multi-day getaways, workshops, online networking, and mentoring.
