Tearrific

Like many little businesses Tearrific began from my own love (or perhaps that should be slight obsession) with tea sets, cakes and all things retro.
It started many moons ago when my Nan taught me the afternoon ritual of taking tea. She was a stickler for always using china cups, no matter the time or day because “it just doesn’t taste the same in a mug”. And I think that she was right… Even a cuppa on the go had to be poured correctly, with a teapot always to hand in the sidecar of my grandad’s vintage Triumph motorbike.
So I’d like to offer people the chance to enjoy a nice cup of tea, the only way that it should be drunk… From a vintage tea cup and saucer. We have an abundance of sets available, for absolutely any function. There’s no do too small and our growing collection can cater for up to 130 thirsty people. Along with this we have oodles of bunting, glass sweetie jars and candle holders to dress your event.
And we’re now pleased to offer allergy aware cakes, made in a nut free kitchen with gluten free options available. We want to ensure that those with allergies don’t have to suffer hungrily. I know all too well what it’s like to be at the hands of the dreaded slogan “may contain traces of nuts”. Our homemade bakes are made using carefully selected ingredients and local suppliers wherever possible.
