SBLAS will deliver the very best in singing and acting and thrives on being a fresh new vocal school with 100% success rate.Should you not wish to take examinations, we have designed our own lessons with various different skills to help you develop your skills to the best of your ability. We believe strongly that every student is an individual and we work towards achieving the best of their ability.Singing and acting, does not just have to be a hobby. It can be a profession and with the correct training, SBLAS will guide students on the correct route to reach your dreams.SBLAS syllabus also covers learning skills about stage work, make up, stage design, and for the younger students we will include prop making and skills.We believe that parent’s involvement is essential to a student’s progression, therefore the terms curriculum will be given to each parent at the start of the term and an opportunity is available after each session for updates. At the end of each term the students will provide a performance to their parents and friends in the End of Term Showcase.Each class is an hour long. The younger students will receive a 5-10 minute fun time break with drink and snacks included, as we understand that younger students need to have that break.For the older students, the class is just a straight hour, and if drinks are needed we can provide this for them.

Principal and Managing Director Miss Maria Marra established SBLAS – Shining Bright Like A Star in 2010 with a modern vision on Singing and Acting. She realised early on, the demand for affordable classes in the community.
Since the launch in 2010, SBLAS has received tremendous success.
Maria trains to the highest standards, and is associated with AOTOS and BVA associations, training in workshops and new techniques. Maria Trained with ABRSM, London College of Music, and LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art).
Maria also still currently works with Anne Marie Speed the very well known vocal coach, and has weekly seminars with Tom Burke based in New York City to make sure her students receive the best and up to date tuition skills.
At SBLAS, Maria and her team teach beyond the studio encouraging life skills, self motivation, personal development, self-expression and a determination to succeed.
