LOCAL FINALIST IN NATIONAL KIDS AWARDS SCHEME
The finalists for the prestigious What’s On 4 Junior 2012 Awards have just been announced – and Dandy Development is amongst them!
The awards, in association with Konfidence and as supported once again by Prima Baby & Pregnancy magazine and for the 1st time, First News, are now in their sixth year and celebrates the best activities and providers from across the UK, as nominated and voted for by the experts – parents and carers. Dandy Development from Leamington Spa is a finalist in the Best Local Activity for the Under 5’s category meaning that they are in the top three providers in the UK as voted for by parents.
This year, the awards are bigger than ever, covering 19 different categories ranging from ‘Best Pre/Post Natal Activity’ to the ’Most Outstanding Community Group Volunteer for children’.
Over 45,460 votes in total were cast – a massive 40% increase on previous years.
Dandy Development classes are a fresh combination of baby sign, sensory experiences, music and fun and were only launched in September 2011. They run in Leamington, Warwick and Barford and will be starting in Rugby in September. Nikki Sayers, who has created the classes and is the sole teacher, said: “I am so thrilled that Dandy has had this national recognition, it reflects the fun we have in the classes and how much the babies, toddlers and parents love them!”
From March to May 6 2012, parents logged onto the award winning on-line directories - www.whatson4littleones.co.uk,www.whatson4schoolkids.co.uk and www.whatson4kidsparties.co.uk - to vote for their favourite clubs, groups, classes and party entertainers from all of the nominees that qualified.
The winners of the awards will be announced on 15 June 2012 at the official awards ceremony at the luxury Hilton Avisford Park hotel. Every children’s activity, class, volunteer and party supplier in the country had the chance to be nominated, thus ensuring the awards are a true representation of the keenness and commitment of the UK’s parents and carers to recognise and reward the very best!
