National Award Nomination for Local Mumpreneur
Being a parent whilst juggling a business is a hard task, and nobody knows this better than Emma Burford. Emma, a mother of 3 from Kent who runs the Mums Business Directory, the place where Mums and Business connect via social networking. The business was launched in May 2011 as a way for Emma to stay at home with her family. She has been nominated for 3 awards at The Mumpreneur Awards 2012, a national award scheme for mums who run their own business enterprise.
The Mumpreneur Awards 2012 are the UK’s first national business awards dedicated solely to mums in business. Now in its fourth year, the awards have been a platform for many mumpreneurs to enhance their business, and continue to grow even through this uncertain economic climate.
As well as being nominated in the Best Online Business, Best Supporting Business, Best Interactive Business categories, Emma is also in with a chance of winning The Inspirational Business Mum Award, which will be awarded to the mother who proves to be an inspiration to all women in business.
Emma now has to wait until August, when she will find out whether she has made the finals, which will be taking place on 30th September 2011 at the Heart of England Conference Centre in Warwickshire.
