Top of the Tots – Chart Topping Hits Fail to Make Little Ones Rock-a-Bye-Baby
The makers of Calpol® – experts in children’s medicine, reveal the music that best soothes little ones when they are poorly is the tune to the BBC children’s programme, ‘In the Night Garden’. The children’s favourite won with a significant lead (79%) and was up against Seventies pop sensation ABBA (8%), the Wiggles (5%) and current chart topper, Katy Perry (5%). While Take That might Relight the Fire of many adoring mums, they failed to Shine among tiny tots trailing behind with only 3% of the votes.
The survey, released to celebrate the ‘Be a Calpol Star’ competition, launched on Facebook this month to find UKs star children for the next Calpol® TV advert, received over 700 votes and highlights that when it comes to soothing children it’s not the traditional nursery rhymes that send them to sleep, it’s the theme tune to their favourite TV programme.
Over 700 parents responded to the survey run by Calpol® on Facebook. The survey also revealed that English rock band The Darkness, Bruno Mars and Adele, also helped put send sick little ones to sleep.
